Spic 'n Span

Austin has really started to enjoy bath time! He usually is all wiggly when we are getting ready, but as soon as he hits the water he settles right down and just enjoys it. Right now I am using our baby bath in the kitchen sink and Austin just sits and kicks his feet and looks out the window. I hope he continues to enjoy bath time this much in the future... we don't want him to be the stinky kid in class! :)

Meeting Great GREAT Grandma!

Last weekend, Travis, Austin, and I made our first road trip along with Grandma Hodkin to Denison IA to meet Great Great Grandma and to celebrate her 94th Birthday. Austin did VERY good on the long trip and it was nice visiting with Ina. Auntie Tiffany and Uncle Mike were there too and Austin enjoyed seeing them too!

Me & My Monkey

We had an unexpected visit from Uncle Colin and Lisa this past weekend and they brought Austin some presents... Austin really loves his new little monkey! He will grip onto it and just stares at it whenever it's around... I have a feeling that Mr. Monkey will be a freind of his for a long time. Thanks Colin & Lisa!

Also, today Austin smiled at Mommy for the first time... a real actual smile and more than just once so I was sure it was real. I got a few smiles mid-shot in my photoshoot, but it melts my heart. I'm looking forward to many more smiles from my little peanut soon :)

I love my daddy

Austin loves his daddy very much... Travis stops in a few times a day and is usually on his cell phone when he comes in. Every time Austin hears his voice he opens his eyes and looks that way. Daddy and Austin usually end up sleeping or relaxing together more than anything, but he sure does calm down when Dad has him. They have very similar personalities and Austin hates waking up just as much as Travis does.

It's my party and I'll sleep how I want to...

Austin was very into swaddling his first week, but then overnight decided that he prefers to stretch out... this is how he sleeps almost every night... kicks the blanket off and hands in the air. Too cute :)
